Don’t Fall for It

Posted on Updated on

Series 11 is almost here, but still Mr. Gold is hopping on Ebay.  The great thing is people are selling Mr. Gold for only $20 (more or less)!  It’s great right?! 😛 Well, yes, if you don’t catch the catch.  Pretty much is what I’m saying is they’re are custom made.  It’s not really the Mr. Gold.  Before you ever buy something on Ebay read the description! 🙄 Now, that we’re past that we can look ahead to series 11!  Or not…

Mr gold

Have you seen the Guaranteed Mr. Gold selling for $15-20?  Now, that is a great deal but, yet again, there’s another catch… Maybe.  Sorta.  People are now selling guaranteed Mr. Gold or Medusa!  It sounds like a one in two chance right? Right, to you… The thing is Mr. Gold and Medusa are very different.  For example: Medusa has a snake like bottom and she has crazy snake hair.  Mr. Gold, on the other hand, is a regular minifigure with a stick with a diamond on top.  He also has a top hat. 🙄  So it’s totally possible (unless the seller is hand-less 😆 ) for the seller to know what minifigure it is.  And if they know which one it is and it’s Mr. Gold why would they sell it for so cheap??  In a conclusion, it’s 99.99% it’s NOT MR. GOLD (unless the people are really, really, really nice which I highly doubt 🙄 )!

Look below at some Mr. Gold (or Medusa) listings.   I  put one of each, Mr. Gold, custom Mr. Gold, and Medusa or Mr. Gold (not).

So have you thought about that before?  Have you already stopped looking for Mr. Gold?  Are you considering buying him on Ebay?  Please share you thoughts and comments in the comment section below!  And remember to look out for more news on the upcoming Minifigure Series!

LEGO also has a official description of the video game if you are interested in reading that below 🙄

LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes™

“Marvel Super Heroes are assembling for an action-packed, brick-smashing good time!  Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment announced today that LEGO® Marvel™ Super Heroes will be available beginning Fall 2013 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Wii U™ system and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS™ handheld system, Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is the first instalment in the highly successful LEGO videogame franchise to feature famous Marvel characters.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes complements the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes construction toy collection, which brings the characters, vehicles and action of Marvel’s renowned universe to the world of LEGO build-and-play adventure. There are currently eight iconic scenes from the X-Men, Iron Man and Spider-Man franchises available and more construction sets tied to the new Iron Man 3 feature film will launch later this spring.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes offers an original storyline in which Nick Fury calls upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes spanning the Marvel Universe to save Earth from such threats as the vengeance of Loki and the hunger of Galactus, Devourer of the Worlds.  LEGO and Marvel fans will enjoy classic LEGO videogame adventure and humor, while playing as their favorite Marvel characters.

“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.”

“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game,” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment.  “If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.”

In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, players will unlock more than 100 characters from across the Marvel Universe, including fan favorites like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki and Galactus!  The game will pack in a plethora of super-cool character abilities, combat-like action sequences, epic battle scenes, puzzle-solving and a unique story told with playful LEGO humor.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is being developed by TT Games and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.”

We also have a great little sneak peak video for you to enjoy. 😎

Looks entertaining?  I like how they put more characters then just the Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk (Thor may count as one and so others)) What I’m wondering is, what or who’s the villain?  It looks big and that Iron Man would say, “We’re going to need a bigger team.”, it must be huge for Iron Man to say that! 👿 I think LEGO has done a good job on this game.  Below we have an image of the front cover of the Marvel Super Hero Game.

Legends of Chima: The Joy Ride

Posted on Updated on

Yesterday, the fourth episode of Legends of Chima came out (unfortunately, I missed it 😦 ).  That episode was the start of weekly episodes every Wednesdays at 8PM est. “The Joy Ride” was the name of the episode aired last night.  LegoSingapore, a LEGO channel, released the episode way, way before it even came out, June 13.  I’m going to use their description of the episode since I missed it (man!), “Laval “borrows” his father’s awesome Royal Fighter for a joyride around the Land of CHIMA with his good buddy, Eris. The tour turn out to be an adventure as they seek the help of the workaholic Beavers to repair the Royal Fighter and learn about Cragger’s plan…”  Well, if you’re like me, you’d probably want to see the episode if you missed it.  Well, you might be in luck.

Chima_poster_2

Sadly, according to LEGO, you can’t film and post the episode on Youtube, but if LEGO or Cartoon Network posts the episode you are allowed to use it.  LegoSingapore, I am pretty sure, is an official LEGO Channel (just in another country).  If we find out it isn’t an official LEGO Channel we WILL take the video down immediately.   If you have any questions or answers on that topic please comment below.

LEGO contest: LEGO Hero Factory

Posted on Updated on

Anytime there’s a LEGO contest we’ll write an article to help each other win the contest.  We want a community of winning LEGOs! 🙄 This contest, featured in the July – August issue, you need to “Build a model of something that Hero Factory can use to stop the Evil Brains, using the pieces from your LEGO collection.”  Sounds easy, but what to make and how?   I would suggest making another hero, a giant hero.  But, if you don’t have any Hero Factory pieces (or even Bionicle pieces) you can still enter the contest!

EPSON scanner image

Never give up hope!  What to make if you don’t have Hero Factory pieces?  Maybe a ship with cannons, lasers, and a jail?!  Or what about a cool hero car?  What about a never before seen vehicle?  It’s all up to you!  Now, if you could pick any LEGO set and get it for free, what would you choose?  Oh, oh, I know!  SEE BELOW!

0067341919117_500X500

Nobody would pick that!  I’d pick some two thousand piece set that costs a couple hundred dollars, right?!  Wouldn’t you?  My point is everyone loves giant sets!  Big sets.  A while back I remember a Pirates of the Caribbean contest and the grand prize winner was someone who build a huge model (it was HUGE).  Okay, I think you got that point, MAKE SOMETHING BIG.  🙄

I’m the kind of person who keeps his sets together, now for those kinds of people it’s okay to break your sets apart (as long as you put them back together!) for a $100 dollar LEGO gift card!!  For those who have heros, it’s also a good or should I say great idea to make you hero big.  Once you build your big hero you could make your own weapon.  After you make your weapon (make it unique maybe do a sword for old style) you should put lot’s of detail on it!  Put a flame (other color flames may look cooler) or some lights.  Put what you think is awesome!  Also make sure your hero is full of details!  Add some pieces from your LEGO collection to it!

When you’ve finished your model or hero you should have it in action.  Make sure have a good camera (if you have an iPhone or iPad I would use that) and make sure you  have good lighting (make the lighting look good to you).  To make it even better you could add a background, print a background of the internet, draw it, or use the LEGO magazine.  If you can you also may want you hero or model to be battling someone or something.

SUBMISSION FORM

CONTEST RULES

LEGO is doing something new where you and your parent or guardian has to sign.  There are rules you should read before you enter.  See above for both.  Please note these are for the US and you will have to go HERE for other countries.  We hope you enjoyed this article and we hope you win!  If you have any questions or ideas please feel free to comment in the comment section below!

The Ninjago Movie

Posted on Updated on

The Warner Brother’s interests in LEGOs has led the to the decision of making a LEGO Ninjago movie.  The upcoming movie, The LEGO Movie, trailer has been hit so hard by fans that Warner is said to be making plans for a Ninjago movie.  Thanks to BrickExtra we’ve been notified early about the movie.  Today I also looked it up and found several movie websites are talking about a Ninjago movie.

One of LEGO’s most popular themes why wouldn’t it be a great idea to make a Ninjago movie.  Ninjago, the TV series, has been a favorite show of LEGO fans all over the world.  Kai, the ninja of fire and his amazing crew along with the Green Ninja, Lloyd, battle Garmadon and his army of snakes and stone army.

With Chima not being what was expected from LEGO I’m sure LEGO would love to have this movie to once again lift up the Ninjago theme!  In the coming year we don’t know what to expected from LEGO Ninjago.  We will just have to wait and see what LEGO will throw at us, but I’m sure we’ll be prepared!

So what do you think?  Do you think the movie is true?  Is Chima what you expected from LEGO?  Please share your thoughts and comments in the comment section below and look out for Ninjago news soon!

Back to the Future

Posted on Updated on

The LEGO CUUSOO project Back to the Future is approved and will be release July 18th!  Excitingly we have several images of the upcoming set.  If you look in the image below you can see the DeLorean Time Machine set is posted in a LEGO calendar.

Now from looking at the calendar to the image below you probably can tell the wheels can be moved up or down.  You might be wondering what this movie, Back to the Future, is about.  Thanks to IMDb we have a short description of the movie, A teenager is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown, and must make sure his high-school-age parents unite in order to save his own existence.”.  Sound exciting? IMDb collected ratings and it has a 8.5 out if 10 rating.  I think that’s pretty good.

If you are wondering what it says on the calendar I cropped the image so you can read it a little better.

Sounds like an exciting product, yes?  If you have any comments please just post them in the comment section below.

Ninjago and four?

Posted on

Have you ever noticed that the producers of Ninjago must love the number 4?  I have!  Over the couple of years that Ninjago existed, I’ve noticed many things in Ninjago that have to do with the number four.  For example, there are four main ninjas, four weapons, and four elements (we won’t get into all that just yet)

.

But why is four the main number in Ninjago?  Maybe because LEGO just picked a random number or maybe they picked the ninjas and noticed that there are four, or maybe it was accidental.  Who can tell?  I can!  I contacted LEGO several days ago to ask that question and here is the response:   “So the reason that ther’e so much focus on the number 4 is because there is 4 different elemets in the land of NINJAGO to control.” (this is a copied quote so please don’t blame us for the mistakes! ;) )

lego_ninjago_nrg_wallpaper_by_skybard-d5gfysz

If you don’t know what I mean by four, here’s a list of what I noticed has four in Ninjago: Four ninjas, four generals in the skeleton army, four main snake tribes, four elements, four kinds of each snake in each of the four snake tribes, four action cards in each spinner, four different kinds of stone army men, four weapons of Spinjitzu, four Fang Blades, four Golden Snake Staffs, four Lloyds in different suits, four skeleton army men (not generals), three four armed figures, four dragons and four sets with four figures in them 2011-2012.

I may have missed several so if I didn’t list them please just say so in the comment section below!   Hope you enjoyed my article and look out for more articles about the upcoming season of Ninjago!
